…and – in an equally unsurprising announcement – the neighbor boys had pasta for dinner. Tonight’s pasta featured Italian sausage, tomatoes, basil, garlic, and onion. As you can see from the picture, I still have some work to do if I’m going to use up the tomatoes from this week.
It’s the last week of the summer term for us, so maybe soon I’ll have time to cook something more creative. Although I shouldn’t complain too much about time, because I will admit that the weather today made me so happy that I went from room to room washing windows. Then I opened them all wide to let the fresh air blow through every room. I’m just enjoying the beautiful evening, the light breeze, and the sounds of the neighborhood tonight.
This post made me smile! I just woke up after sleeping peacefully because our thermometer says 68 degrees! That is perfect sleeping weather!
I only used up the little tomatoes, so I am in in the same predicament!
Same here! Still have tomotoes. Maybe a fresh tomato sauce today.
I did the same , with the exception of cleaning them first, opened all the windows yesterday. Felt so good to have that fresh air in the house. My cat, Leo, was so happy to be sitting in the window ledge all day.
This is my favorite kind of weather! Also, I loved sitting by the open window last night, listening to the night bugs. It reminds me of being a kid growing up in the country, late summer, and knowing that fall was on its way.
