Lisa Abraham’s Beacon Journal Article –

I got a charge out of the food section of the Akron Beacon Journal today. Lisa Abraham is doing a “Beacon First” of what to do with your CSA box. I enjoy Lisa’s articles and look forward to what she has to say on the subject. It is also another look at a different CSA.

About Kim Galizio

I am involved in 2 blogs. For Lettuce Never Squash Our Love - I have a great desire to support our local farm community and joining a CSA was one way to do that. In the process we found it fascinating to explore what we can do with our CSA box and what others are doing as well. For Lean is Good - My first exposure to lean was in 1991 as TPM coordinator for 10 years at a rubber manufacturing facility. I love the blues both playing and listening being part of the Kent music scene for many years. I will plug the Kent Stage for Folk and Blues shows and go see 15-60-75 the numbers band whenever they are playing it will be worth it.

I like to read her articles as well. We should see what she is making and compare notes! On another note, Bethy and I were remembering while in the pool how often we used to make tacos when the kids were young. Then taco salad came into fashion and we used to make it with a taco seasoning packet and fritos. Now we will try in a healthier way!

I love tacos! The Doritos taco salad isn’t quite the healthiest but it is yummy. Tacos with the packets was one of the first things I cooked as a kid. Such fun memories.
